Wessex Royale Hotel The Wessex Royale is a delightful Georgian hotel with an excellent location in the centre of Dorchester. The hotel was built in 1756 and its classic features include fireplaces, panelling and a magnificent grand staircase.The restaurant is fully refurbished and air conditioned. It is open each evening and serves traditional and exciting new dishes and several wines. The superb residents’ lounge has comfortable chairs, a warm and cosy fire and drinks.
